Capture One Studio
Capture One Studio is designed for photographers that shoot volume, professional multi-user studios and brands with in-house photographic production.
Built on the industry standard Capture One Pro, Capture One Studio expands the photographer tool-box to facilitate modern production needs and prevent bottlenecks created in large volume production. This is done by adding specialist tools and automation technology, so that Capture One Studio solves the communication aspects across production teams and reduces costs in the challenging landscape of modern commercial image making.
Note that this part of the Online Help only cover the tools that are unique to Capture One Studio. Please check the rest of the Online Help for instructions on how to use all the tools that are also available in Capture One Pro.
The integrated Barcode scanner tool in Capture One Studio will help you ensure that the assets are named and identified correctly as they are captured.
The Guides tool will allow you to position and display Guides over the image in the Viewer as an aid to getting the composition right and it is particularly useful when shooting tethered or cropping the image.
The Next Capture Backup enables Capture One Studio to automatically make a backup of all the captured images during a tethered session to another drive.
The Next Capture Keywords tool allows you to enter the keywords that should be associated with the next captured image(s), ensuring that product shots will be categorized correctly from the start.
The Next Capture Metadata tool allows you to enter the relevant metadata that should be associated with the next captured image(s), ensuring that product shots will be categorized correctly from the start.
Capture One Studio has the ability to lock specific tools so that they cannot be altered by accident during a busy shoot by for example changing the camera settings or file naming. It is also possible to assign a pin code to the locking system.
If you are using the Capture Pilot app on an iOS device in combination with running Capture One Studio, you have the option to display an added Overlay, the Grid or the added Guides on top of the image viewed on the iOS app screen.
